The driving practical test in the UK is designed to assess a candidate’s ability to drive safely, follow traffic regulations, and demonstrate control over the vehicle in real-world conditions. - Reversing Manoeuvres – One of the following manoeuvres will be tested:
- Parallel parking
- Bay parking (either reversing in or driving in and reversing out)
- Pulling up on the right side of the road, reversing for two car lengths, and rejoining traffic
- Independent Driving – Candidates must follow sat-nav directions or road signs for 20 minutes to demonstrate their ability to drive safely without step-by-step instructions from the examiner.
